About

A produce and flower market by day, under the gaze of a statue of the philosopher Giordano Bruno, burned at the stake on this exact spot in 1600. Stalls sell dried porcini, chilli strings and fresh pasta alongside the usual fruit and veg, and it stays a working local market rather than a purely tourist stop. By evening the stalls pack up and the same square fills with bars, one of the livelier spots in the centre for a late aperitivo.
